Plymouth Hog Charity Partnerships

Plymouth Chapter HOG is proud to be supporting throughout 2019 two of our local charities: Cornwall Blood Bikes & Devon Freewheelers. Both groups have connections deep within our Chapter. They carry out amazing work transporting everything from donated blood to breast milk around our local counties and further afield.

Please watch this space for upcoming events where we will be supporting our two chosen charities. The total monies raised by Plymouth Chapter will be split 50/50 between the two groups.

On Saturday 19th January Plymouth Chapter held it’s 9th birthday party. Thanks to the generosity of the members our raffle made a grand total of £182.00 We also received a donation of £20.00, bringing the total for the night to £202.00. Thanks to all the members who donated some great raffle prizes and to all those members who purchased tickets.

Our Chapter social held at the Hunting Lodge on Thursday 21st February will have a guest speaker from Devon Freewheelers to tell us about all their great work.

On Friday 1st March, Geoff and Terri will be holding one of their world famous Pasty Parties at Manheniot Mansion. £10 per head with any monies left over from pasty purchase toward the charities.

Well what a great evening we had at Geoff and Terries. Helluva Pasties donated all the pasties for the night as they support charitable events and the Pasty Appreciation Society of which Geoff is a part of, so that meant we made a grand total of £212.00 to be split between Cornwall Blood Bikes and Devon Freewheelers. Geoff has invited us all to have our first EATW at his place later in the year as another charity evening so watch this space.

On Saturday the 18th of May Sumo and Helen invited us all to a cream tea charity event at Rowcroft Lodge, organised by our LOHP Penny. Tickets were £5 per person and the event sold out. The scones were good, the jam was great, the clotted cream was excellent. The event helped to raise a total of £151.00 toward our two charities. Thanks everyone for a great afternoon.

Plymouth Ladies of Harley organised our 2019 Chapter Halloween Party on Saturday 26th October at The Ship Inn, Plymouth Barbican. 7.30pm – Midnight. Ticket cost was £12.50 for Chapter members, and £14.50 for guests.

Well, what a great success the LOH Halloween party at The Ship was. Safe to say all that came and partied enjoyed themselves immensely. DJ Pabs provided the tunes, you guys provided the costumes and the entertainment. Mel J won the best dressed lady costume, and Pete Collingwood won the best dressed mens costume. Congratulations both. We made an amazing £115.00 for our 2019 charities, to be shared equally. Thanks Sherrell and Penny for another great evenings entertainment.
