As a motorcyclist I have been riding legaly since I was sixteen. many bike have been used to transport me from A to B and occassionaly Z. Sports bikes, Trials bikes, offroad bikes, and now of course Harley Davidson.
Never has a motorcycle brand enjoyed so much attention and admiration. Thnere is no brand to match it, from the ride experiance, the social and camaraderie to the world wide friendship and acceptance offered by other HOG Chapters.
As your Director I am responsible for ensuring we continue to grow within the HOG UK community. I will strive to ensure you all enjoy your time and rides with Plymouth Chapter, help steer our Committee and members in the right direction, and uphold our Chapter Charter. I would like to think that should you wish to talk about anything on your mind, you will trust and put your faith in me to help.
Let’s all have a great time, enjoy our riding and ensure we have fun.
Ride safe, but also have fun doing it.
Paul.

I have been Plymouth Chapter UK Membership Officer for 3 years and a member of our Chapter since its start-up and a HOG member for 13 years. I have not been without bike(s) since I was 16, starting with a Lambretta (before I had a licence) and then progressing from a FS1E through many other Jap bikes (notable memories including an XS1100, CBX1000, FJ1200 and loads of GS’s). In the 80’s and 90’s I visited the Isle of Man TT 8 or 9 times on the trot. Then in 2000 I bought a Harley Superglide and my eyes were opened to a different way of doing bike fun. Since then I have gained an EVO Fatboy and a 21 year old Electra Glide Sport and on these bikes I have been to events and rally’s here at home and in Germany, France, Spain and Portugal – and always in the company of like minded friends. It has been a great adventure and continues to give me very happy times

I passed my bike test at 16, when I owned a Harley Davidson Aermacchi 125 scooter, very rare and not listed in any Harley book I’ve seen, but Lambretta was the scooter to be seen on so the Aermacchi was soon replaced!
Wife, mortgage and children came along so I had small CC runarounds as a second form of transport and scuba diving became my main hobby.
Serious biking took off again with a GPZ 500, then a series of larger Japanese sports bikes. For a while I was the chairman of Plymouth Motorcycle Club and helped out with the Megarides.
As a Japanese bike fan, I didn’t fancy a Harley until I got involved in modifying and painting friends’ Harleys and building and riding trikes, so I bought my first Harley a modified Sportster. I then built a FXR 1340 from parts and by then I was hooked on the easy riding and great social life.
Josie and I enjoy touring and socialising with the many friends we’ve made through Plymouth Chapter.

Hello, I work at Plymouth Harley-Davidson as a sales executive. I have been a life member of HOG since 2002 when I purchased my first Harley.
My first bike was a Honda SS 50 in 1978. Progressing through the years I owned a Suzuki GT185, Yamaha DT175, Honda 550/4, Honda GL1000 Goldwing, Triumph Bonneville, Triumph TR6 chopper, Suzuki GSF 750 EF and ESD, Suzuki GSX 1000 EFF, then I stopped for a few years as I started a family. Returning in the late 90’s with a Yamaha Dragstar Classic, as it looked like a Fatboy but a lot cheaper!
I have always been passionate about Harley-Davidson, so I saved and for my 40th birthday purchased a V-rod, one of the first on the road, absolutely awesome machine. Harley then introduced a Rocker C in 2008, which I had to have, then a Fatboy in 2011. I then took redundancy from British Gas after 35 years and treated Aud and myself to Route 66 on an Electraglide. This was so comfortable that I purchased one on my return, at the same time as starting my new job at Plymouth Harley-Davidson. I then had a CVO Breakout, again a fantastic Harley. 2015 Harley introduced the Ultra Low, being short it fits me perfectly so looking forward to a summer on my new Ultra Low.
Look forward to meeting up with you all, new and existing Chapter members.
Ride Safe
Kevin
